Who We Are
Professional Airline Flight Control Association, or PAFCA, is the International Board, representing five different carriers across the United States. We work very closely with TWU, ALPA, lobbyists in Washington D.C. and trade organizations such as ADF and IFALDA to help protect operational control throughout the aviation industry.
PAFCA Unions at the major U.S. Carriers have repeatedly negotiated industry leading contracts. The International Board stands steadfast to protect our membership and ensures each airline has a chance to fight for robust pay and quality of life, while maintaining that these contracts must be upheld by all parties involved.
Our Mission

To act as an effective instrument in providing strategic guidance to Local Unions of PAFCA in improving the working conditions, wage scales, work cycles and schedule, retirement and medical benefits, job security and all other benefits that should rightfully accrue to all members, individually or collectively, according to the nature of the profession of those individuals engaged in the operational control functions in the aviation industry.

To promote the best interest and safeguard the rights of its members and to cooperate with other groups and organizations in an attempt to protect the interests of employees engaged in operational control in the aviation industry.

To ensure there is no discrimination or disparity of effort in the exercise of pursuing the professional objectives of this organization,

To ensure there is no discrimination in any matter that may come within the purview of this organization as regards to race, color, creed, sex, or national origin.

To represent its members before appropriate Federal Agencies and undertake additional representation and activity as authorized by the membership.

Our Work
A union's job is never done. The International Board, in conjunction with the local union boards, work tirelessly to bring forth job improvements and safeguard the future of our profession. Once a quarter, all of the local unions will meet with PAFCA International. This meeting provides an opportunity to share events occurring at each airline and provide a feedback loop as to what is working and what is not.
Many of our local unions spread the workload into numerous committees that also help drive involvement.
